Terms of Reference Our company, Habesha Trading P.LC established under the Commercial Code of Ethiopia in Ethiopia in 1998 is engaged in import-export trade, transport operation, Publishing and Stationary sales business. Recently, we are also licensed for the provision of promotional services such as organizing and staging of trade fairs, festivals, exhibitions etc. Currently, with the objectives of promoting Ethiopian trade, facilitating its integration into the world market and above all consolidating Ethio-American trade relations, We are undertaking the staging of a trade fair/ Expo –Ethio-Cultural & Trade Expo-USA. Since this is a daring task for a novice like us, we require the service of the expertise and experience in the area. We, hereby call for a service-giver that qualifies to undertake the following activities: 1. The consultant will explore the business community to identify interested businesses who would be interested to participate in the Expo in accordance with the instructions/guidelines given to him from the company; 2. The consultant will identify the appropriate venue (tentatively Washington D.C.) and negotiate the payment for the display facilities in accordance with the specifications of facilities set by the company; 3. The consultant will arrange hotel accommodation for the guests coming from Ethiopia negotiating in accordance with the terms given to him by the company; 4. The consultant will identify and contact appropriate officials who will give a key note address and closing remarks upon the opening and closing ceremonies of the Expo, and the conference that are going to be held during the duration of the Expo; 5. The consultant will arrange transport facilities for the guests and their cargo upon arrival, duration and departure negotiating in accordance with the terms given to him from the company; 6. The consultant will open a bank account on behalf of the company, facilitate the use of credit cards at the Expo; 7. In accordance with the guidelines given to him from the company, he will identify American companies and businesses that are willing and qualify to operate in joint ventures, to directly invest, seek representation through their sales agent, or operate in any other form in Ethiopia; He will submit various options/alternatives on the different areas as mentioned above and advise the company on the best option for the success of the Expo We are engaged in export of different goods, export of agricultural,and processed merchendise produced in Ethiopia.
