Minerva Networks Appoints Former President Of Pacific Bell Service Operations To Its Board Of Directors

Minerva Networks, a leading provider of video networking products and services which enable the convergence of Television and the Internet, announced today the appointment of Randall Strahan, former President of Service Operations at Pacific Bell, to its board of directors. The appointment comes as the company is launching its Internet Protocol (IP) Video Headend solutions that allow network operators (RBOCs, CLECs, ILECs and PTTs) to offer IP Television services over their broadband infrastructure. As a board member, Randall, a 22-year veteran of the telecommunication industry, will advise and direct Minerva on key strategic and business development matters.

As President of Pacific Bell Service Operations, Strahan managed an organization of fourteen thousand employees and was responsible for customer service, design and construction of outside plant facilities, and provisioning and maintenance of all product offerings. Before his promotion to President of the Service Operation in 1994, Strahan served as Executive Director of the Information Access/Business Systems Division and as General Manager of the Los Angeles Division of Pacific Bell. Randall began his career at Pacific Bell in 1978 and held a variety of positions in Operations, Marketing and Business Planning. He is now a partner at Mohor Davidow Ventures, a venture capital firm, and serves on the board of directors and advisory boards of several private and public companies including Telocity Communications, Telmax Communications and Amber Networks.
