Regulation FD requires publicly-traded companies to publicly and simultaneously disclose material information issued by investor relations officers, directors and executive officers, and other employees or agents who regularly communicate with investors and securities market professionals such as analysts, brokers, and institutional investment managers. Regulation FD is intended to combat abuse of nonpublic information that may occur by selective disclosure.
