Lenair Healing Foundation Receives Tax-Exempt Status

The Lenair Healing Foundation, Inc., a non-for-profit corporation, has received tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service. The Foundation, which was incorporated in Massachusetts in 1999, was established to provide free treatments for those in need of help for alcoholism and other debilitating addictions. Approval as a 501(c)(3) corporation allows contributors to the Foundation to deduct contributions in accordance with IRS rules.

According to Rhonda Lenair, co-founder of the Foundation, "Our dream has always been to provide the services of The Lenair Technique to those in need without a fee. Establishing The Lenair Healing Foundation and receiving tax-exempt contributions from our patients and those who support our work will allow this to become a reality." Ms. Lenair, founder and practitioner of The Lenair Technique, will be providing her unique treatment for alcohol addiction and other addictions to the Foundation's clients.

As alcohol addiction has become increasingly common in society, there is a growing need for an effective treatment to abate the physical and psychological cravings for this substance. The Lenair Technique has been providing addiction treatment services since 1987 and has treated over 25,000 patients using its proprietary methodology. Now this treatment will be made available to those struggling with addiction through The Lenair Healing Foundation.

Michael L. Johnson, M.D.--a clinical instructor in psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, a psychiatrist with Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates, and a board member of the Foundation--states, "Alcohol abuse has no bias in its insidious effects.
