WALTHAM, MA Aug 26, 2002 MEGA International, a leading provider of business process modeling and IT mapping software, and ADESTIN Inc., a Boston-based consulting company, today announced they signed an alliance agreement that will provide customers with an optimal software and services solution.
The agreement strengthens a longstanding relationship between the two companies, thus expanding their offering. ADESTIN contributes expertise in enterprise modeling, analysis and design. Its training and consulting ensures the rapid implementation and execution of the MEGA Software Suite.
The MEGA Software Suite helps teams of business and IT systems analysts design, improve and support strategic business processes and improve their enterprise architectures. It enables them to create a clear and easily maintainable view of IT infrastructures, manage systems complexity and evaluate the impact of process or system changes.
"Over the past four years, our professional services team has worked with and supported MEGA clients utilizing the MEGA Software Suite," said Michelle Miakos, president and co-founder of ADESTIN Consulting. "We offer training and mentoring for the design and implementation of conceptual models used to provide a complete understanding of the enterprise. Capturing business process and IT systems knowledge within MEGA's repository bridges the gap between business and IT. This allows for better decision-making throughout the company based on the models ability to highlight important interdependencies."
"ADESTIN consultants have developed a reputation for implementing their methodological approach utilizing the MEGA Suite of tools resulting in successful project deliverables," said Bill Wise, president of North American operations for MEGA. "As certified MEGA consultants, ADESTIN has access to internal MEGA resources to leverage its own experience and core competencies, thus adding a wealth of knowledge and experience to each client engagement."
"At Lucent we implemented MEGA to assist us with business process improvement and IT mapping," said Nicole Compton, business process project leader for Lucent Technologies. "ADESTIN consultants working for MEGA mapped out more than 900 applications and provided services for the worldwide implementation of Oracle. By implementing MEGA and receiving the expertise of these consultants, we were able to increase our organizational understanding of these cross-functional domains."
According to Janick Brunet, sales compensation manager for Microcell, a wholly owned subsidiary of Microcell Telecommunications Inc., "MEGA and ADESTIN demonstrated that they understood our needs. We selected the MEGA Software Suite because it has a strong repository and database, it is compatible with Microcell's existing intranet system, and it includes multi-lingual capabilities. In addition, each of MEGA Software Suite's operations is procedure independent. At the same time, ADESTIN consultants are well versed in MEGA's products and did an excellent job of supporting our project implementation."
