- Directly manage the Chief Accounting Officer (CACO) .
- Manage the overall financial reporting function for a $300 Million+ company with three main regions in Southern / Northern California and the Northwest.
- Oversee preparation of budgets and produce timely and accurate monthly financial statements.
- Oversee the preparation of and ensure the accuracy of Sasco’s management reports that are used to measure all aspects of the business (Reports 1-12).
- Persistent questioning and analysis of business systems and operations.
- Oversee and direct the further use and development of Oracle financials.
- Think outside of the box to develop new / revised measurement tools.
- Interact with various regional and corporate management teams and staff in order to maintain a timely, relevant and accurate financial reporting system.
- Be the prime interface throughout the yearly audit function.
- Oversee all banking, bonding, and audit relationships.
Preferred Job Requirements:- Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial and accounting experience with ability to work in a hands-on manner in a stressful environment.
- Experience leading Oracle financials.
- This person must understand that to succeed in this position it is imperative that they are a good listener and learner and have excellent intelligence. This person must also “fit in” with the other executives and respect the roles they play within the company. These are important points as marked by the repetition in this message. They will not know Sasco on day one; it will take time and effort, lots of listening/questions, in order to succeed. A desire and ability to lead is required but a bull in a china shop mentality will ensure failure.
