Originally from New York, our Principal, Douglas Baumwall, is a Regents Scholar. After graduating from the University of Miami, he invested in and managed several small businesses including Marfresh Seafood and American Helicopter, and now has almost twenty five years of corporate experience. After becoming licensed to sell businesses in 1989, he joined Collins & Collins Investments. The firm has provided expert and confidential management of the valuation, purchase, and sale of Florida businesses since 1975. In 1994 Mr. Baumwall purchased the Firm and moved it to Miami's financial district in 1996. Doug is a member of the Florida Bar's unlicensed practice of law committee, has rendered fairness opinions for litigation support, is Chairman of the technology committee for the commercial division of the local Realtor Association, and is Chairman of the technology/MLS committee for the Florida Business Brokers Association. The Florida Association of Realtors and Florida Commercial Magazine have published several articles written by Mr. Baumwall. He is a Certified Business Intermediary who has taught continuing professional education to Certified Public Accountants in South Florida.
